Waking While The World’s Asleep

I had been fascinated by that song performed by Miguel Escueta called “Sleeping While The World’s Awake”. I don’t know the lyrics by heart, but i know that it speaks of finding yourself, your individuality as youth. The video presents a young lady attempting to write a novel. She finds difficulty in finishing it, as she is brainstormed by possible themes of the plot. In the end, she gets to finish it, however.

But what’s more captivating is the song title. Sleeping While The World’s Awake (anybody missing anything? :) ) It gives me the thought of being left out, or more like carrying out your dreams when everyone’s concerned of reality. Is it bad to sleep while the world’s awake? Will that close doors for progress or improvement? I don’t know, actually. Because you can grow from within, and the more that happens the more you may appear smaller to other people. Just like astronauts: “the higher we soar, the smaller we appear to those left on earth.”

Think about it. Sleeping While The World’s Awake: bullshit, genius, or genius-bullshit? XD ciao…

PATAPON 2: Defeat Final Boss

Defeating the final boss in PATAPON 2 requires pure concentration and strategy. It seems awfully difficult with the first five tries and if you lack the ability to analyze this beast, it’s very hard to who. With the strategy and analyzation part, i’m going to help you with that.

I just finished the game today with so many trials and errors to memorize and fully understand the nature of that boss. Here’s what you need:

Equipment. You need a well optimised army of a hero in a Tatepon type, Toripons, Dekapons and Robopons. Equip a stew to boost up attacks.

Sequence. You begin with moving your army for about three forward marches and do the Pon Chaka (charge) and Pon Pon (attack) song simultaneously. Remember that it’s also only THREE forwards in case the boss moved away to the right and disappeared. If the beast moves away, charge up and attack him as he approaches you (always charge-attack, charge-attack) that’s one Pon Chaka song as the screen is on the beast. If the beast blows that sleep breath to you, do the Pon Chaka immediately because he’ll transform into that “grabber” form. You’ll be doing Chaka Pon twice to make them move back and if you’re doubting about the distance, do the Pon Pata (move away) after one Pon Chaka. If your hero gets grabbed, just quit and retry. But if you follow this tip well, you will not have to lose any of your troops.

IMPORTANT: make sure that ALL of your moves are done in PERFECT RHYTHM. That will enable your invincibility with your Tatepon hero. Errors and imperfection in pressing buttons will terminate your chances of winning this boss. And if you get your hero eaten up, you’re really dead.

Whatever happens, don’t give up. Just concentrate and perfectly do the keypressing. And follow my tips to avoid getting any of your allies taken by the “grabber”. You can defeat it without losing any patapon while maintaining an undamaged HP. Goodluck, gamers! May you reach Earthhend! :)

Book Review: Twilight Series

Did those black books catch your attention in the bookstore? Well, they probably had caught the attention of the world. The twilight movie is regarded to be very successful and it really gave the characters a big break. Many don’t just read the books, they live with it.

Setting. The twilight series takes us to a place somewhere in the woods, to a town which is normally unusual and where centuries-old myths secretly exist. The story takes place in Forks, Washington where the sun rarely shines, right in our modern times.

Characters. From the plain-looking Bella to the guy-with-the-god-like-beauty Edward, the story has touched many personalities and attitudes. The characters are on the stereotype category, who are all predictable throughout the story. The whole series deal with good and bad vampires, naive humans and huge wolves. The story also adds up characters as the series advance, so i recommend that you read all four books :)

Theme. If you are the reader who seeks thrill and mystery, or the one who’s a sucker for cheesy lines and romance, you will definitely love the series. The series is not as cheesy as the most romance books out there, but you definitely will be moved by the lines and conversations out there. There are also the adrenaline gushing moments in the story, so it’s definitely worth reading.

Plot. The first book in the series tells about how Bella fell in love with Edward and still loved him unconditionally even upon discovering that he is a vampire. The rising point enters when a vampire named James planned on hunting Bella. Of course, Edward would never let anyone harm Bella. To protect her, Bella flew to Phoenix with Edward’s sister and brother, leaving Edward behind to finish James. However, James blackmailed Bella about her mother’s safety and Bella fell into the trick. James had nearly killed Bella when luckily Edward arrived in time to save her. In the book two, New Moon, Edward realizes that Bella’s life would be more hazardous if she continues her connection with vampires. So he decides to leave Bella, with this excuse, also on double purpose that he is tracking James mate, Victoria. Bella, however, begins to think that Edward might have given up on their difficult relationship and she ends up being desperate and heartbroken. In her lonely times, Bella found comfort in the company of Jacob, who later on realizes that he is a werewolf. This discovery placed a gap between them, and Jacob was overwhelmed when he found out that Bella accepts him despite this. One day Bella went on cliff diving and Alice, Edward’s sister with fortune-telling abilities, mistook this as Bella committing suicide. Edward heard this and he realized that without Bella, he no longer has reasons to live. So Edward went to Italy to have the Volturi (a strong vampire royalty) kill him. Bella and Alice tries to stop this, and fortunately enough they succeeded. However, the Volturi decides that Bella should be changed into a vampire because the existence of vampires must be a secrecy. Bella was very much eager to be a vampire, but Edward disagrees on this. Edward made a condition with Bella that if she marries him, he will be glad to change her himself. But Bella disagrees, in the reason of a very early marriage at nineteen. In Eclipse, the rivalry between Edward and Jacob rose. Not only for the reason that they are both in love with Bella, but also for the fact that werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies. However the two groups worked with each other to protect Bella against the threat of Victoria with her army of newly born vampires. Bella is scheduled to be changed into a vampire in a matter of weeks, and she is aware that newly born vampires crave for nothing but blood. So she decides that she needs to have a physical union with Edward now before it’s too late. Edward disagrees because of his virtues. To compromise, he will give what Bella wants if she accepts his marriage proposal. Bella accepted it, and they were able to defeat Victoria with the help of the Cullen vampires and Quiluete werewolves. Because of Bella and Edward’s engagement, Jacob’s feelings were terribly hurt. In the final book, Bella gets married with Edward and later finds out that she is pregnant and her pregnancy is developing too rapidly. They decided to keep the child, and Bella nearly died in giving childbirth. To prevent her death, Edward changes Bella into a vampire. Breaking Dawn discusses about Bella’s first days as a vampire and Jacobs imprinting with her daughter.

So that’s it…a series full of adventures and romance and thrill. The books will definitely keep you stuck on reading so guys, grab your copy in the bookstore…
