There used to be the two Mega Stations talked about at schools and simply anywhere- GMA and ABS-CBN, more known with their “numbers” 7 and 2…but now…there’s 5!
TV 5 started in the nationwide television as ABC 5. Just poking around at the local cable or hanging in there and anywhere, sometimes here sometimes there, we can say it didn’t had much success. But just this year, ABC 5 rose to being TV 5. With their hit show “Talentadong Pinoy” a Philipp remake or America’s Got Talent. Hosted by the Ryan Seacrest of the Ph, Ryan Agoncillo, it earned high ratings and discovered entertainers like ventriloquist Wanlu and others more. Thus, the start of the station’s fame.
Compared to the two leading stations, TV 5 doesn’t take everything much too seriously. No rivalry, no anything. Just plain entertainment. They have many gag shows unlike the two stations with cornball dramas. I think TV 5 is gonna be known to be a leading entertainment channel, because of it’s shows like Lokomoko High, WoW Mali, Everybody Happi and more…just be happy with happiness! The station just needs a good evening news and a noon show and prest-o! A new rival for ABS and GMA.
